Business Policies

Ordering Information...

Orders can be processed online through our secure shopping cart 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  All credit card information is collected using secure encryption software, and we do store any credit card information.  Our business hours vary so if you do not reach us, please email us and we will return your email as soon as possible.

International Orders...

At this time we only ship to customers with addresses in the United States and Canada.

Payments...

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, money orders and personal checks.  We do not accept any COD orders.  Orders paid with money orders or personal checks will not be processed until payment is received.  Checks will be held for up to 10 days in order to clear before order is shipped.  There is a $25 fee for returned checks.  All payments must be in US funds. 

Sales Tax...

Wisconsin residents will be charged state sales tax.

Order Processing...

Our products are made at the time you place your order.  This ensures that you are receiving the freshest products available.  You will never recieve old stock from us.  Accordingly, please allow 5 - 10 business days for your order to be processed.  You will receive a confirmation e-mail from us the day your order ships along with delivery confirmation numbers (if available).  We strive for a quick turnaround, however, please allow extra time for processing during our busy holiday season.  If for any reason there will be a delay on your order, you will be notified.  Any major delays will be posted on our website.

Shipping...

We ship via USPS.  Our shopping cart is set up to charge a flat rate of $5.95.  Delivery to certain zones may take up to nine days.  Please keep that in mind when placing orders for gifts.

Insurance...

Insurance is available for your shipment at an additional charge.  We are not responsible for lost or damaged orders shipped uninsured.  If you would like to insure your package, please make that request when placing your order.

Recycling...

In an effort to help keep our environment clean, we may use recycled bubble wrap and packing peanuts.  You may also receive shipments in recycled cardboard boxes.  This also helps keep our costs down and saves you money as well!

Security/Privacy Statement...

We do not store any payment/credit card information on our servers or in our files.  Once payment is processed all financial information is destroyed.  Your privacy is very important to us.  We do not share your name, address, phone number, email, or any other information with any third-party entities or individuals.

Damaged Shipments...

Please look your package over when you recieve it.  If it is damaged in any way, keep all packing materials together, notify us, then notify the shipping carrier.  We take great care to package our products carefully.  We are not responsible for damage to packages/products that occurs due to the mishandling of the shipping carrier or for uninsured shipments.  ALL DAMAGE CLAIMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SHIPPING CARRIER.  We will assist you in making a claim with the shipping carrier, however, you must contact us within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment.  By placing an order, you are accepting the terms of this policy.

Return Policy...

We want you to be satisfied with your North Country Esscentuals purchase.  If you are unhappy with your product for any reason, please contact us at 262-877-2781 so we can help you.  We are sorry, but due to health issues, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for any bath and body product or soaps.  Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt in original packaging.  Once received by us, an in-store credit will be issued to your account less shipping charges.  Credits must be used for purchase of products on our website and are good for six months.

Please note that as our products are handmade some slight variations are to be expected.  Certain techniques, such as swirls, colors and some designs are impossible to duplicate exactly.  We try very hard to make sure our products are consistent so that you can be confident of getting the same quality each time you order. 

If you are unsure about a product, please contact us with any questions you might have prior to placing an order.  We will be happy to send sniffies and sample sizes (small charge applies) so you can test a particular product before buying a full size.

North Country Esscentuals, or any of its agents, will not be held responsible for injuries due to the use of our products and we assume no liability for claims arising out of the misuse of our products.  We incorporate strict standards for the production, packaging and labeling of our products.  All ingredients used in our products are listed.  If you have allegergies or are prone to allergies of any of the ingredients in our products, please do not use them.  Please be aware that some of our products contain nut butters or nut oils (including shea butter).  If you are sensitive to nuts please avoid using those products.  Please contact us if you have any concerns regarding any of our products.  Placing an order with North Country Esscentuals constitutes your acceptance of our terms and policies.

As with any cosmetic or bath product, please test on a small area of skin if you have skin allergies or sensitivities.  Do not use our products in or near eyes.  North Country Esscentuals will not be held responsible or liable for misuse, allergic reactions, or injuries sustained from the use of our products.  Please keep products away from children.  Products designed for use by children should be done so only with adult supervision.  Do not use any of our products for purposes other than the intended purpose.  By placing an order from North Country Esscentuals you acknowledge this policy and assume liability should any such situation arise.
